  1. After reviewing the session descriptions, select one PD Opportunity from the first session (12:30-1:30) and one PD Opportunity from the second session (1:45-2:45).  Be mindful of which position(s) the session is appropriate for.  

  1. Once signed up, staff have the opportunity to see their selected PD under “My Schedule”  

  1. Staff have the opportunity to change session(s), if space allows, before August 1.

Connection and Resources for Paraprofessionals LIMITED

In this session, teaching assistants will get to hear from current and past paraeducators who have stayed in the field and found professional growth opportunities within their roles. There will be an introduction section including what the different experiences and current roles of the panel are, discussion of the challenges faced within the paraprofessional position, and a discussion of professional development and leadership opportunities for participants. There will also be an open forum Q&A portion with the panel and participants as well as a chance to network with other new or current teacher assistants.
