This session will provide information on sensory systems within the human body and how sensory processing theory applies to us and our students. Within this session, you will learn about calming and alerting strategies that may apply to your classroom and how to promote student engagement.

As Carol Stock Kranowitz said in her book The Out-of-Sync Child: Recognizing and Coping with Sensory Processing Disorder, “Every child is occasionally out-of-sync.” We can be a safe space to help children who are out-of-sync.
